We’re Kinda Back in Previously Blocked Regions with Safe-For-Work Content

Check out our nudity-free homepage in most regions with age verification laws.

In many regions, we made the difficult decision to block access to Pornhub in response to age verification laws that put user privacy at risk and aren’t really achieving what they intended to do. But now we’re back*, just a little different. In most regions, users will notice that we’ve replaced our PSA starring Cherie DeVille with a Safe-For-Work (SFW) page that was created to give creators a secure space to monetize and share content, gain exposure, and reconnect fans without fear of deplatforming. We see this as an opportunity for creators to regain some of their lost traffic back.

This setup empowers creators to monetize and repurpose content from other social platforms, unlocking new earnings potential. For the last few months, the new experience has been rolling out in most previously blocked areas. In areas without age verification laws, nothing is changing, we’re still a porn company after all and we’re proud of it.

NSFW Forever

Don’t worry, we’re not getting rid of pornographic content! This is a temporary solution in regions with Age Verification laws until we can (hopefully) roll out device-based age verification globally, and there’s already some amazing progress on this! Apple recently rolled out a new update which allows age-verified iOS users in the UK back onto Pornhub. We will continue to offer a platform that celebrates sexual content and is designed to get your work in front of engaged audiences.

What kind of SFW content is shown?

The SFW home page offers non-explicit content that shows the personalities, passions, and daily lives of our creators. This is a unique space to express yourselves authentically, reach a global audience, and earn ad revenue in a safe and stable environment. For fans, it’s a backstage pass to connect with creators on a deeper level and discover their world beyond adult content.

Our 2025 Year in Review shows users’ interest in creators and sexuality goes beyond pornography. It extends into their real lives, recognizing performers as real human beings with hobbies and passions.

Our Sexual Wellness Center contributor Courtney Brame, educator and founder of Something Positive for Positive People, said of the SFW trend, “Your favorite gamers, streamers, and podcasters interviewing a performer whose work you enjoy, or the performer themselves in regular clothes having conversation is a rare sighting. With the way we’re seeing people lean towards novelty, perhaps there’s a shift happening that makes people gravitate toward performers out of their role as performers and in a new context.”

To surface your content, select “SFW” in the Video Uploader and ensure there’s no nudity in the scene.

Can I Link to External Sites?

For now, 3rd party links are not displayed in SFW regions, but an update will be coming soon. You can still link to your external sites from your Model profile. As always, adding links remains completely optional, free, and we don’t charge Models affiliate fees.

What About Age Verification?

Our advocacy continues! We will keep advocating for effective age verification solutions that protect user privacy and keep minors away from adult content. You can learn more about our proposed solution by checking out our blog on Why Device-Based Age Verification Is the Key. We believe it’s important to keep minors off adult platforms as well as keeping adults off platforms that are targeted to minors. We encourage all device manufacturers to make this the default setting on all devices, not just known minor accounts, to better protect everyone.

We are committed to listening and evolving, and your input helps us improve. Let us know what you think!
